Stephanie has been a Registered Nurse for 15 years and has a background in emergency, intensive care, and surgical nursing. Prior to working at Bungendore Medical Centre, she completed a diploma in Critical Care Nursing before the arrival of her three girls.
Steph’s hobbies include spending time with her family and friends, enjoying good food, living an active lifestyle and being outdoors on the farm with her girls and husband Alex.
Once she started working at Bungendore Medical Centre, she became a Nurse Immuniser and furthered her knowledge in Primary Health Care. She has found a passion for childhood immunisations and health checks, chronic disease management, and women’s health.
Stephanie helps to run a bulk billed Parent and Baby Health Clinic every Friday morning, where she works with a GP to offer childhood immunisations and child health checks, parental support, and post-natal health. She believes this Clinic is a positive component to the practice offering an invaluable service to the families of Bungendore.
Stephanie is a strong advocate for her patients and their families and strives to deliver the highest care possible allowing for their health care needs to be met. She believes in empowering individuals through education, allowing them to take charge of their own health with support and guidance.
She understands the importance of access to effective health care at a primary level, the importance it holds for the patient and their families, and how it helps to reduce the pressure on our hospitals and emergency departments.
Steph is intending to continue her education in Primary Health Care focusing on women’s health.
