Bungendore Medical Centre is happily anticipating the opening of the Queanbeyan Medicare Urgent Care Clinic on Wednesday the 24th of July.

People in Queanbeyan and surrounding areas who need urgent health care, for non-life-threatening conditions, will soon be able to walk-in to the new Medicare Urgent Care Clinic (Medicare UCC) located at Brindabella Family Practice, Suite 4, 7-9 Morrisset Street, Queanbeyan.

We welcome this initiative and there is no doubt that their walk in services will be completely bulk billed. We have been reassured that the service will communicate back to your GP if that’s your wish.

For non-urgent and ongoing health care management, we always recommend seeing your regular GP, however, if you or a member of your family have a deep cut, closed fracture, simple eye injury, ear infection or minor burn consider heading straight to the Queanbeyan Medicare Urgent Care Clinic.

Please rest assured that BMC remains able to accommodate these minor emergencies as we always have in the past , however the Urgent Care Centres are an additional alternative for you to consider

People who require emergency and life-saving care should still ring 000 or go to the emergency department at Queanbeyan Hospital.
