Protecting yourself from COVID-19

Whether you are vaccinated or not, there are things you can do to protect yourself and others from COVID-19. You must:

COVID-19 Testing

As per the latest NSW COVID-19 guidance, it is recommended that patients with any of the above symptoms self-isolate and seek coronavirus testing, even if symptoms are mild. This includes any sore throat, or any symptoms that may appear like a ‘mild cold’. It is advised to self-isolate until the result of your COVID-19 test is known. This typically takes 24-48 hours from the time of testing.

It is important to maintain high testing rates to identify as many cases in the community as quickly as possible. Certain outbreaks have only been identified through such rigorous testing.
